27/03/2009 - IT'S SHOW TIME!

The Australian Auto Aftermarket Expo, the most comprehensive automotive aftermarket trade event ever held in Australia is rapidly approaching. The Expo, which will be held at the Sydney Exhibition Centre for the first time since 2005, will run from the April 2-4, 2009.

Over 350 industry leaders will be exhibiting over nearly five acres of exhibition space, which is almost double the number of exhibitors at our last Sydney show – highlighting the significant growth in this event. The Expo will showcase the very latest automotive parts and accessories, workshop tools and equipment and business services.

If you want to keep your business ahead of the competition, this is the place to learn all about the latest products and technology our industry has to offer.

The Expo will feature all the big brands in the auto aftermarket under one roof including Bendix, Hella, Repco, Ryco, Shell, NGK, Tenneco, Burson, Robert Bosch, Armor All, and Meguiars (just to name a few). Major industry events held in conjunction with the Expo include the AAAA Awards to Industry Breakfast hosted by Neil Crompton and the Awards to Industry Banquet hosted by Nicole Livingstone.

Both events will be held at the Sydney Convention Centre on April 2 and will provide a terrific networking opportunity while recognising the very best companies and individuals in our industry. Further information and registration forms are available from the AAAA National Office Tel (03) 9561 7044.

The Auto Expo will once again be held concurrently with the 2009 Collision Repair Expo featuring a further 50 industry leaders in the collision repair sector including PPG, Akzo Nobel, Dupont, Car-O-Liner, 3M, BASF, Lowbake, GPI, Globaljig and Sydney Automotive Paint & Equipment.

In addition to free entry to the Expo, all visitors will be able to take advantage of the free Monroe Park 'n' Ride service from nearby Harold Park Paceway. Complimentary shuttle buses between Harold Park and the Exhibition Centre will depart every five minutes over the three days of the event.

To assist visitors from regional NSW to attend the Expo, a free bus service will operate from Canberra (picking up at Goulburn), Wollongong, Bathurst and Newcastle to the Expo on Saturday April 4. Buses will be timed to arrive at the Exhibition Centre around 10.30am Saturday morning and will depart the venue for the return journey from 3pm.

Departure times and registration details are available on the Expo website. Pre-registration for this service is essential and numbers are limited.

We are confident that the unprecedented response from exhibitors combined with our extensive marketing campaign will result in a record number of people visiting the Expo this year. Therefore I would strongly recommend registering for the event now to avoid any delays when entering the venue.

To register for the Expo simply log on to our website www.aftermarketexpo.com.au to complete the online registration form.
