18/11/2008 - AFTERMARKET EXPO OFFERS FREE BUS

To make it very easy to visit the 2009 Australian Auto Aftermarket Expo, to be held at the Sydney Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour from 2 to 4 April, the AAAA will provide a free "collect and return" bus service for workshop owners, managers and staff from selected NSW regional centres.

AAAA Executive Director Stuart Charity said this free bus transport is in addition to the Monroe Park'n'Ride service, which will provide free parking at the Harold Park Paceway in Glebe and a free shuttle bus service to the Expo at Darling Harbour. "We understand that central Sydney can be a difficult and expensive place to visit. So, we are pleased to be in a position to offer these free services to save time and money for workshop owners and managers," said Stuart Charity.

"With free entry at Expo, it is possible for teams from workshops all around NSW to visit this show at no cost, other than time off the tools. We are finalising bus routes and schedules and will keep the industry informed with details, so businesses can plan their visit to Expo.

Plan early to attend

"While April 2009 may seem a long time away, we urge people to start planning now to attend this huge automotive aftermarket showcase. With the Christmas break looming and running to January, and the Expo in the first week of April, businesses have only February and March to get organised," said Stuart Charity.

"The best way to stay on top of Expo news is to register on line now. Then you will receive regular updates on all the activities happening in and around the show next year. This is a trade only show and online registration is easy and free of charge - just visit our website at www.aftermarketexpo.com.au. For those travelling to Sydney from interstate or overseas, we have a range of competitively priced hotel rooms available in the Darling Harbour precinct. Again, visit the website for details.

"Sydney and Australia has never seen an auto aftermarket trade show of this size, with this many suppliers involved. Our last sell out show in Melbourne featured more than 400 exhibitors across four acres of space and nearly 13,000 trade visitors. We expect this Expo to be another big step up again in all respects.

"Many of the major suppliers in the Australian aftermarket will be launching new products and technologies at this Expo. This provides workshops with a unique opportunity to learn about the very latest industry developments from Australia and around the world, and will help keep your business one step ahead of your competition. And Auto Aftermarket Expo visitors will also be able to attend the AAAA Collision Repair Expo next door at no charge," he said.
