11/06/2008 - DAYCO'S DAVID DUNCAN JOINS NATIONAL COUNCIL

The AAAA National Council is pleased to announce the appointment of David Duncan to the Council to fill a casual vacancy created by the resignation of Ray Brown from his position as Marketing and Technical Director at Davies Craig.

David is Managing Director of Dayco Australia Pty Limited, an operating division of a major multi-national company concentrating on providing a range of products and services including power transmission belts, timing belts and kits, hose as well as a variety of support product lines essential to providing Aftermarket customers in Australia and New Zealand with a complete product offering.

Before becoming Managing Director in October 2005, he accumulated over 15 years of financial and management experience with Dayco in Canada, the United States and Sweden, with the last eight of those years in Australia. A graduate of the University of Waterloo – School of Economics, he is a member of the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada, and a member of the Melbourne chapter of the Financial Executives International Institute. David is keen to listen to members and develop fresh innovative ideas to help generate new products and processes to keep the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association growing.

The National Council of the AAAA would like to sincerely thank Ray Brown for his outstanding contribution to the Association during the last five years, which has been a period of significant growth and change for the AAAA and the automotive aftermarket.  Ray served as a Director and member of the Trade Show Sub-Committee, Government Affairs Committee and Remuneration Committee.  His experience and guidance on key issues has been an enormous benefit to all on Council and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors. We would also like to formally welcome David to the Council and look forward to working with him to further build on the activities and services offered by the AAAA in what is a very exciting time for our Association.
