22 March 2012 - Australian Auto Aftermarket Conference a Success

The AAAA would like to thank all those who attended and supported the Australian Auto Aftermarket Conference making it an overwhelming success. Held on 15 March, over 180 delegates from around Australia enjoyed the keynote presentations, breakout sessions and social and networking opportunities.

The conference theme of Harnessing Technology to Ensure a Sustainable Future gave delegates first hand exposure to how the aftermarket is continuing to innovate to keep ahead of the many challenges that lie ahead. The Conference was designed to encourage delegates to look forward and expand their knowledge.

The keynote speakers – Scott Luckett of the AAIA, Glenn Cooper of Coopers Brewery and Brenton Cannizzaro from The Memphis Agency - covered a range of topics including social media marketing, global technology developments in the automotive aftermarket and digital marketing. In addition, the break-out sessions and workshops helped facilitate discussion and information sharing on a wide range of industry topics.

It is the first time in 8 years since an event like this has been run and was very well received by all involved.  Andy Nolan from Redranger, said “it was great to see so many people from the industry in one place. With the conference being focused on technology and the advances that are going on, it is great to see how we can adapt to those changes and incorporate them into our own business”.

AAAA Senior Manager – Government Relations and International, Ben Bartlett said “the Conference has been a huge success for all involved – it was better than we ever could have anticipated. The feedback I have received from delegates has been overwhelming, commenting on the high quality and calibre of the speakers and also on the range and relevance of topics covered”.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Victorian Government, DBC2 and all our sponsors for their support to help us deliver an event of the highest standard.
